Behind the Bowls

Studios, Artists, and Volunteers

How do you get over 1,400 artisan bowls for an event??? We start with our amazing studio partners. Add a multitude of local artists and volunteers and start throwing, glazing, and painting!! contact Artists@emptybowlsmckinney.com or join us at a workshop.

Our studio partners include SPARC, Jump Into Art, Make Expressions, Glaze Ceramic Studios, and Walls of Clay. Together, they provide the foundation and creative energy that bring Empty Bowls McKinney to life each year.

Types of Bowls

Artisan Auction/Raffle Bowls
These are larger, professional pieces for the on-line Auction or Raffle. Bowls will be juried to determine which area, Auction, Raffle, or Collectors Club in which they will be featured.  All areas are equally important and greatly appreciated.

Collectors Club
Guests have the opportunity to purchase limited tickets to Collectors Club. For $125.00, 65 people have the opportunity to privately view this special collection and select a bowl prior to the start of the event.

Limited Edition Bowls
These are beautifully crafted, typically smaller than the large Artisan bowls that are made available for purchase during the event and priced by a group of knowledgeable artists.

Event Bowls
Event bowls, (smaller soup-sized), the heart of our event, are given to each paid attendee to thank them for their support and as a reminder that many are food insecure in our community.
